The Grivel Tau Wire-Lock K3L is a compact and lightweight carabiner featuring an advanced Wire-Lock system, designed for climbing, mountaineering, and technical rope applications where safety, efficiency, and ease of use are essential.

Inspired by the success of Grivel’s best-selling Tau K12L range, the K3L is optimised for lightness and durability while maintaining excellent handling performance. Its ergonomic HMS-style shape ensures easy operation and smooth rope management, making it highly effective for belay systems, knots, and multi-directional connections.

The innovative Wire-Lock system combines a solid moving gate with an internal wire mechanism that keeps the gate securely closed. This design significantly reduces the risk of accidental gate opening caused by rope movement, rock contact, or external pressure, while still allowing fast and intuitive operation.

The K3L is also designed for practical real-world use, making it easy to operate one-handed or while wearing gloves. A clean nose profile reduces snagging on ropes, bolts, and gear, improving overall efficiency in climbing systems.

Each unit is individually tested and laser-marked with a unique serial number and inspection date, ensuring full traceability and compliance for professional and recreational use.
