The Maestrale RS is an innovative, stiff, ski mountaineering boot for high performance in both uphill and downhill. It features a bi-injection carbon/Grilamid® shell for torsional rigidity, the cuff is made with Grilamid® BIO to maintain performance with a reduction in CO2 emissions during production, an XT ski/walk mechanism to adapt to your activity and comfortable and thermoformable Intuition Foam liners for a custom fit and warmth.

FEATURES:

Shell:
- Web frame carbon design: the sunburst design on the heel area allows the use of variable shell wall thickness to minimise weight while still offering high performance support and power
- Bi-injection Grilamid®: bi-injection expertise allows the use of high-performance materials like Grilamid® and Carbon Grilamid LFT® in the same piece. This process helps to create a shell that offers the incredible performance combination of stiffness and high torsional rigidity from heel to toe
Ski/Walk Mechanism:
- Speed Lock XT: easy to unlock and lock, thanks to the lever with the integrated pull loop to make easy the use also with the gloves
- Friction-free technology: there isn't any connecting rod between the shell and cuff, this allows a "friction free" movement during the walking phase
Closure System:
- Magnesium buckle: the buckle constructed in magnesium alloy is both strong and light. Its essential design offers an easy handling while wearing gloves
- Booster strap: dynamic elastic straps stretch, allowing you to cinch them super tight for an increase in performance. They also provides cushioning to keep your shins from bangin' when you're getting ultra-sendy, too
- Wave closure system: the Wave closure system, made exclusively for SCARPA®, delivers two buckle closure strength security without the weight penalty
- Thor buckle: the Thor buckle is constructed in magnesium alloy that is both strong and lightweight
- Thor Rack XT: this extended design, made in aluminium with 5 teeth, improves the distribution of the closing pressure
- HRS System: thanks to the HRS and instep straps, heel security has become a SCARPA ® trademark. The instep strap configuration offers incredible fit for both touring comfort and downhill performance
Cuff:
- Thor cuff RS: the cuff implements a simple and clean design with differentiated reinforcement and thickness areas that offer an important level of support for the skiing phase while limiting weight. Designed to house the new ski/walk mechanism Speed Lock XT. It is made with the new Grilamid® BIO, a new plastic material part of Ems-Grivory's complete line of GREENLINE bio-based polyamides
Liners:
- Pro flex performance: thermoformable liner made with Intuition Foam, featuring anatomic tongue construction with an elastic band on the instep. Specific thermoformable heel inserts lock the ankle in place during skiing or touring. Double pull loops facilitate fitting. The fit is performance-oriented, and intended to be slightly tight out of the box to provide a high performance fit (SCARPA strongly suggest thermomoulding before use)

CAYMAN PRO: SCARPA®/Vibram® sole in TOP85 rubber compound offers excellent grip and durability, further enhanced by the tread pattern. The special cleats on the CAYMAN PRO sole are designed for maximum grip in any terrain. In the toe area, a soft rubber provides a perfect bonding surface. RECCO® technology makes you searchable in the event of an avalanche. The 2-part technology consists of RECCO® reflectors that are integrated into SCARPA ski boots and RECCO® detectors that are used by more than 800 organised rescue groups worldwide. Facilitates a faster organised search and increases the chance of being found in time.
